DownaPeg seeks to bring to the world the side of people and their social interactions that has heretofore been banished to silence. We believe there is just as much to learn, if not more, from the knowledge of what people dislike as there is from the various means of assent that currently pervade the Internet. We also believe that many positive ratings are misused in the culture at large to inaccurately represent the true public opinion of a person, place or thing. Egos may be unjustly inflated. Could it all be just a little overrated? As a repository of dissenting opinion, DownaPeg aims to give voice to anyone who sometimes wishes there was an alternative, a way to say "I do not like this!" In short, we believe that some things just need to be taken down a peg or two.
